In brief,

  • Qualification Strategic Purpose statement and general conditions for programmes were reworded to ensure clarity, and amended where necessary to align with industry requirements
  • Qualification Conditions relating to the graduate profile were removed and shifted to a programme guidance document on the MITO website
  • Qualifications and unit standards have been updated to the latest NZQA template.

The rationale for these changes is to ensure the qualification and unit standard content is relevant, representative of industry’s needs, and meets the NZQA listing requirements.

Once the reviewed qualifications and unit standards are approved and listed by NZQA, the current versions will be set to expiring.
