If you're looking to start your career journey and find a job, here are some tips and tricks to help you get started.

- Education
- Any qualifications and practical experience—if you completed StartUp, ShiftUp or RockUp, don't forget to include this!
- Referees.
Search for a job at:

- Seek
- TradeMe
- Go ‘door knocking’ and approach local businesses in person
- Ask friends and family for contacts—a lot of people find jobs through ‘word of mouth’.
Interview time!
- Turn up on time
- Dress tidily
- Be polite and friendly
- Ask questions (it shows you’re interested)
- Thank the employer before you leave.
