MITO launches new combination Level 3 and Level 4 drilling programme
MITO has launched the training programme that leads to the New Zealand Certificate in Non-Hydrocarbon Drilling (Level 3 and 4). This training programme will provide learners with the required core skills and knowledge to work as a driller under broad supervision in all sectors of the non-hydrocarbon drilling industry.
“We’ve worked closely with industry to ensure this programme meets their training requirements,” says MITO chief executive Janet Lane. “It provides an exciting career pathway for those starting out in the drilling industry to progress through to more senior roles and reinforces MITO’s dedication to workforce development.”
This flexible training programme is adaptable to a variety of drilling environments. The programme is expected to take 2.5 to 3 years to complete and incorporates a mix of theory and practical training and assessment.
The New Zealand Certificate in Non-Hydrocarbon Drilling (Level 3 and 4) qualifies for the Government’s two years of free fees policy for eligible learners. Click here for more information.
