MITO LAUNCHES DIESEL FUEL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME
Enrolments are now open for the training programme that leads to the New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Diesel Fuel Technology (Level 4).
Designed in consultation with industry, MITO’s training programme will provide those working in this specialised and highly technical sector of the automotive industry with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively diagnose and repair faults in diesel fuel injection systems.
The training programme includes new industry-approved unit standards incorporating both on-the-job practical learning in the workplace and eLearning – allowing learners to complete theory elements in their own time using a mobile phone, tablet or computer. Graduates will be able to diagnose faults and repair diesel fuel mechanical, and electronic, delivery systems, air induction systems, as well as apply health and safety requirements to an automotive workplace.
MITO Chief Executive Janet Lane says “The launch of a new and innovative training programme for this specialised and highly important sector reiterates MITO’s commitment to the workforce development of the automotive industry. We’ve worked in close consultation with industry when designing this programme to ensure it meets their specific training requirements and significantly increases their training capabilities.”
