APPRENTICESHIP FUNDING SUPPORT
______

  • The MITO/Inspiring Futures Foundation scholarship programme covers the first-year training fees of apprenticeships, graduate business diplomas, advanced technical programmes, and management courses.
  • Apprenticeship Boost is a monthly $500 Government payment to employers of apprentices. Recent changes mean that, from 1 January 2025, this will only be available for employers of first-year apprentices, but all of MITO's apprenticeship programmes will still be covered.

“You’ve got to train people, you’ve got to get the young people and encourage them to come in, otherwise you’re going to have a shortfall in a couple of years’ time.”

Adam Devoy, Devoy Panelworks

“It's really important for those of us in the industry to be taking on apprentices so we can be training the future generations. Learning on the job is the best kind of learning.”

 Emma Gilmour, Gilmour Motors

“We need to train apprentices so they can become senior tradespeople and fill in the gaps. It’s vital to the survival of our trades.”
