In this challenging role, you will be responsible for all aspects of race and rally car preparation, including construction, servicing, maintenance and set-up. The role will also involve the servicing, repair, modifications, upgrades and performance enhancements to a huge range of vehicles from late model Japanese cars, to classic American muscle cars.

Avoid the traffic, based in our Drury workshop on the outskirts of Auckland.

The position is full-time Monday to Friday and may also require you to be part of our event support team, attending motorsport events across New Zealand. To be a success in this role, you will have experience as a mechanic/technician, ideally in a similar environment, or have a genuine interest and passion for the motorsport and/or performance car industry. An extensive knowledge of Japanese performance vehicles and a thorough understanding of their systems are required.

Fabrication, welding, auto electrical, engine reconditioning/rebuilding and transmission rebuilding, tuning and engine management system skills and experience would be highly advantageous for this position.

You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, results oriented, with a genuine passion for motorsport. Attention to detail and cleanliness are essential. You will have a can-do attitude, and must be able to work with minimal supervision and under pressure to often tight deadlines. Good communication skills are also essential, as you will be required to work as part of our dedicated team, working together to contribute to the ongoing success of our motorsport programs
